Pretty good if you ask me! A picture of The Macintosh Garden website (snapshot by Old School Game Blog)Īnyway, I’ll keep you posted on my progress. The Macintosh Garden was founded in 2001 and in 2007 the archive contained over 900 (!) games and almost 7000 comments from users. This means that it is legal to download, so no worries there. All the games have been discontinued and are no longer available for purchase. This is an abandonware games archive that is dedicated to supporting the Macintosh computer platform.
I visited a site called The Macintosh Garden. Since I’m very interested in old games, I decided to go hunting for some Macintosh abandonware. Portal 2 (9.99) Portal 2 may be the perfect game. PROMOTED LDPlayer Price: Free LDPlayer is an Android emulator for gamers, running Android Nougat 7.1. However, most emulators right now run anywhere between Android 7.0 Nougat and Android 9.0 Pie. This means that it is actually possible to run Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, Prince of Persia 2 and other classics on an Amiga 1200 with a 68030 turbo-card! Isn’t that something? It will be interesting to try it out. Luckily, most apps and games still function on older versions of Android so this shouldnt be a big deal. Since the old Mac’s used the same processor as the Amiga ( 68K series from Motorola), it’s possible to achieve smooth emulation of older games and applications. Recently I’ve been reading up on Macintosh emulation on the Amiga.
